Dear friends,
this is the text that was sent to you as an e-mail on monday 20th june for the preparation of your group.
attached to this e-mail you will find some important documents. We would like you to meet your youth group before your departure to France, because they (or their parents) have to fill in and sign these three documents:
1) the Medical form; it has to be signed by the parents
2) the Camp Rules; which have to be signed by the participant
3) the photo and video agreement; it has to be signed by the parents
And we would like to remind you that our dance coreographers David and Amelie would like to know what the young people in each country think about stereotypes and living together in Europe.
How do they see the French, Spanish, Czech, Latvian people? Do they think they know what the others are like? Do they think the stereotypes are true?
Do they know stereotypes about their own culture and people? Do they agree with that? How would they like to be seen by people from other countries?
David and Amelie would like to have the answers as soon as possible to prepare their workshop. You can send them via e-mail.
Finally, we would like your youth group to think about what they want to do on their intercultural evening. Each country will prepare one evening of the second week. Depending on what your youth group wants to do, maybe you'll want to bring something that is special to your country (music?, clothes?, food? etc.)
There are two schedules. One is attached to this e-mail. It is the Team Schedule. Each group will consist of 7 participants and one responsible leader. However, these groups will be of mixed culture. At the beginning of the two weeks we will form these culturally mixed groups.
The other schedule is the general one which will be online soon.
One last thing: We tried to create a Vocabulary List to kick start and simplify the communication during the exchange. Could you fill in your language, please?
